Odour is best described as medium, sweet and gentle, similar to Tea Tree with woody (similar to cedar) undertones.
(Not as odifereous as Australian Tea Tree).
Tests have shown that it is up to 20 times more potent than Tea Tree (melaleuca alternifolia) in its antimicrobial properties.
It contains leptospermone, a well-known insecticide, so is useful both as an insect repellent and as a first aid for insect bites and stings.
Blends well with: Lavender, Rosemary, Clary Sage, Tea Tree, Pine, Geranium, Marjoram and Spice Oils.
