MANUKA
12ml Leptospermum scoparium
Country of origin New Zealand
Steam Distilled from the leaves and terminal branches.
Odour is best described as medium, sweet and gentle, similar to Tea Tree with woody (similar to cedar) undertones.
(Not as odifereous as Australian Tea Tree).
Tests have shown that it is up to 20 times more potent than Tea Tree (maleleuca alternifolia) in its antimicrobial properties.
It is also said to be up to 10 times more anti-fungal than Tea Tree, it's anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory qualities
include effectiveness against acne, eczema, psoriasis, foot and body odor and irritated skin
It contains leptospermone, a well-known insecticide, so is useful both as an insect repellent and as a first aid for insect bites and stings.
Highly bactericidal across a wide spectrum.
A few drops in the bath as a pick-me-up for winter blues.
Dilute well before use.
Because it is quite potent, it is best not applied neat to the skin unless a patch test has been done first.

MYRRH
12ml Commiphora myrrha
Steam distilled from the resin of this plant and found to be warm, smoky, deep, earthy, woody, balsamic and masculine.
This is another very ancient essential oil much revered throughout history along with Frankincense.
Made from the gummy stem resin of this African plant.
Often used in mouthwashes and for gum irritations but as with all pure essential oils
caution must be observed and this oil must never be ingested.
It may have slightly antibacterial effects and is thought to improve bad breath.
Antimicrobial, antifungal, astringent and healing, tonic and stimulant, carminative, and stomachic.
May be useful in the treatment of an abscess, athletes foot, blisters, chest infection, bronchitis, catarrh and colds.
Please avoid during pregnancy!
