(Whoever said that oil and water don't mix
might not be quite correct!)
Suitable for mixing
essential oils into water or creams for sprays, lotions and
spritzers.
For spritzers it would be
advisable to use distilled water.
A mix of 1 volume
essential oil to 1 volume solubiliser is normal
which should be mixed
first before adding water or cream.
Remember when using that
essential oil goes a long way in a large volume of water or
cream.
When mixing small
quantities you may find that the water mix may be cloudy, this is quite
normal.
Solubiliser diperses the
pure essential oils throughout the water or cream.
In water, the solubilser
disperses the pure essential oils so
that they form minute
droplets in the water creating a misty appearnce.
For a slightly clearer
oil/water mix more solubiliser may be used up to 1 to10 oil to
solubiliser.

Do you realise
if you buy a 12ml essential oil such as Chamomile, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Rose, or
Neroli at 3% dilution you will receive only 0.36 of a millilitre of
the pure essential oil which would be pretty hard to smell and 97% of some of
the cheapest vegetable oils which will not vaporize in an oil burner, vaporizer
or diffuser.

Creations do not approve of "cutting"...the term used for reductions of 100%
pure essential oils!!!

Question........ What are essential
oils?
Answer..... Essential oils are named "essential"
oils as they were believed to be
essential to life and they were
the "essence" of the plant.
The use of essential oils as preservatives and
scents goes back to ancient history.
Pure essential oils are extracted from plants and
plant material such as
leaves, stems, flowers, bark,
roots or grasses and
are highly concentrated and potent oils.
They are usually volatile and most of them are
easily vaporized.
The health benefits associated with pure essential
oils are numerous.
The main methods of extraction of pure essential
oils are
steam distillation, cold pressing and solvent
extraction.
At Bonvale Creations we sell only 100% Pure
Essential Oils.
We do not use oils that have been extracted by
solvents as they can be left with solvent residues
that can give serious side effects and detract from
the pure essential oil thus obtained.
